The final shot
The context
An emerging band brings us clear references for the effects in its music video. The intention is simple: make a figure disappear through light.
The challenge
We have one week to deliver the shots. The production workflow needs to support quick experiments and adjustments through final compositing, while keeping render times under control.
The creative approach
Procedural fractures built at different levels of detail give us precise control over the timing of the disintegration. Light is simulated directly in volume to create rays passing through the material and keep render times down.
The outcome
The shots are delivered on schedule. The flexible workflow lets us refine material and light together through to the final render.
